Imagine barely being able to provide the basics of life for your family, and your child has heard many times of the Polar Express train ride that runs at Christmas time, but you cannot afford it. And then, tickets appear for your family to have an experience of a life time.
Imagine your child has a serious illness that can be treated, and Medicaid will pay for the treatment, but the treatment is a 10 hour ride away and you don’t have the gas/food/ lodging money to cover it. And then, enough money shows up to get you there, feed and shelter you, and fill up your tank to get there and back.
Imagine you are moving somewhere new to live and all you have is one change of clothes to your name, and no money. And then the new people you live with take you shopping to get enough clothes to always look presentable. (All too often the case when we admit at our homes)
